For four decades, Chicago Opera Theater has offered “more of the different” – from English-language and American operas to neglected masterpieces and contemporary marvels. With sixty Chicago premieres since the company’s inception in 1974, their vision is to continue exploring rarely-seen opera works and to push the boundaries of opera in Chicago.

With a goal of reaching $5 million in 5 years, COT hopes to expand to five operas annually, and to deepen their commitment to arts education.
